Inspired by Pietra Serena

The grey sandstone that shapes Florence also shapes our identity.

Pietra Serena — "serene stone" — is the soft, blue-grey sandstone that lines the city's loggias, frames its courtyards, and edges the great rooms of the Renaissance. It is not a stone that announces itself. It is calm, even, and quietly everywhere, holding the architecture together without ever asking to be noticed. The Florentine masters used it precisely because of that restraint.

We took it as our colour and our principle.

The Grivani palette is built around it: a serene grey set against paper and ivory, warmed by a single note of Florentine red — the colour of a wax seal. Nothing loud, nothing that dates. It is a palette meant to recede so the object can speak, the same way the stone recedes so the room can.

There is a discipline in that. Luxury, at its most enduring, is rarely about more — it is about the confidence to use less, and to use it consistently. The restraint is the point.

When you see our grey, we hope you feel what we feel walking those Florentine streets: a sense of order, of permanence, of beauty that does not need to raise its voice.
